Right Para-Duodenal Hernia - A Rare Case Report.
Right sided paraduodenal hernia is an extremely rare entity. It is an incidental finding at laparotomy and its presence can lead to confusion and can cause error of performance during surgery, which can be avoided. Strangulation complicates 22-64% of these cases and increases mortality ten folds. Sensivity of a CT scan in uncomplicated cases is 95-99% and should be done more often. Surgery is the only form of treatment.
